30 Dec 2022 : ARRIVAL

I first took a train from Trieste and arrived at the San Donà di Piave-Jesolo train station. The onward journey was a bit adventurous, because I did not find any taxi outside the station. Only a handful of people got down who seemed to have their own car/ride. It had started to become scary as was dark (7pm winter night) in a small empty train station; and some shady looking people wandered around. I got a phone number for calling taxi from a tabaccheria (the only one around), and had called. Just then, after a 45 min wait, a bus with a sign "Lido di Jesolo" arrived. I asked the bus driver (who was a nice lady) where to buy a ticket, and the tabaccheria was the place. After 10 mins, the bus started with me no idea of the bus route, except that it is going to Lido di Jesolo.

The bus arrived at the final stop after 30 mins, and I asked the driver again if that that is Lido di Jesolo and she confirmed. I got down, at the nearly empty bus station; and of course there was no taxi around. Then Google Map told me it was only 1.2 km from my hotel so I decided to walk ... Google Map saving my life for the n'th time !!!

My walk was through empty streets (only passed a few people); and I noticed immediately that Jesolo is built more like the USA than Trieste. The buildings are very new, spacious, lots of space for parking and wide walkways around roads. The temperature was around the same as Trieste: around 7 C to 8 C.

I was finally in the hotel, an almost beachfront Hotel Terramare. The room was nice with a small balcony from where the sea could be seen and the splashing waves could be heard.

This photo shows part of my dinner: hearing sound of sea waves and eating fried sea food!

31 Dec 2022 : Whole Day at the BEACH/Lido

Waves, sand, seashells, clouds (no Sun yet ; ),

from the sea to the sky and endless where eyes can go.

Thats for me to celebrate the end of the eventful year 2022 ... which marked another bittersweet move of my life.

Good bye 2022 and thanks for all the experiences !!!
